Bauen Corporation was the construction manager on this large scale renovation project. The 30,000 sf building was completely renovated from a dormitory into classroom and office space. The building, which is nearly 100 years old, required extensive finish and systems upgrades.
New air conditioning , fresh air, and electrical systems were installed throughout the building. In an effort to make the project fit both schedule an expenditure limits, the construction process was separated into two distinct phases. In the first phase we completed the renovation of the exterior envelope of the building and the rough construction of the addition. In the second phase of the project we completed the addition of the mechanical systems and the interior finishes. The work of phase 2 was completed in a little over three months for the start of the spring semester classes.
