Effingham Elementary School

New Construction

The Effingham Elementary School was built to replace their existing two-room school and relieve overcrowding at the Ossipee Central School as well. With the new school site being located a half mile from the existing school building, a great educational opportunity was available and allowed teachers and students to frequently walk to the site to review progress.

There are seven classrooms, along with a media center, art room, music room, and several support service rooms. The multi-purpose room allows students, for the first time, to have indoor physical education. A full service kitchen was also part of the project.

This was Bauens third major school project for the Governor Wentworth

Regional School District. Other projects include renovations to the Carpenter

Elementary School and an addition and renovations to the Tuftonboro Elementary School.
