The Meredith Community Center was a realization of a 50-year dream for the Town of Meredith. Designed as a multigenerational center, it features a high-school sized gym with stage and climbing wall, a commercial kitchen, TV broadcast ready meeting rooms for community boards and organizations, a game room, arts and crafts rooms, and full locker facilities. The committees desire to have the building give its visitors a homey, not institutional feel, is reflected in the architects choice of building materials and colors. The buildings architecture does a great job of minimizing the actual size of the gymnasium/multipurpose room.

The building is also set-up to be the towns primary emergency management shelter and command center.
