Tom & Sharon Messmore
This lakefront home built for the Messmore family is situated on Sleepers Point with expansive views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Extra attention was given to locating the concealed fastener, mahogany decks to view the lake from multiple directions.
Building a home for a client living in Switzerland at the time presented many challenges. Many communications and decisions were accomplished via e-mail, which made it possible to keep the absentee homeowner regularly (continually) up-to-date on the project.
The Messmores 4-bedroom, 4½-bath home has many luxury features, including granite countertops, oak and ceramic tile flooring, custom cherry cabinets, and a fieldstone faced fireplace exposed on two levels and on the sidewall of the home. The lower-level fireplace has a raised bluestone hearth with sitting area.
This project was built using the Construction Management format, with a Guaranteed Maximum Price established at the time the contract was signed.
