New Hampshire Audubon Society

McLane Center at Silk Farm

Bauen first became involved in the planning for this project in the year 2000. Working with Sheerr McCrystal Palson first as a consultant, Bauen Corp. was hired as Construction Manager in 2002. After examining numerous site locations and design options and as fund raising progressed, ground breaking ceremonies for this project were finally held in May of 2005. The three-story addition was completed in the Spring of 2006, and the renovation was completed in early summer.

Since Audubon wanted their building to be constructed as a high performance, green building, much effort went into achieving LEED certification during the design and construction phases. Through the efforts of the architect, contractor, and subcontractors, the project achieved a Gold Certification
